Professional calligrapher Maryanne Grebenstein from The Abbey Studio gave students from Professor Donoghue’s English 40. Arrivals: British Literature 700-1700 and English 103g. Old English: Working with Manuscripts students a lesson in hand-lettering this week. With feather quills, a pot of ink, and a sheet of vellum paper, students set out to practice their hand at scribal work.
