Neel Mukherjee is the author of A Life Apart (2010), which won the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain award for best fiction, The Lives of Others (2014), which was a finalist for the Man Booker Prize and the Costa best novel award and won the Royal Society of Literature Encore Prize, and, most recently, A State of Freedom (2018). He divides his time between London and the USA.
