Samuel Diener, PhD '22 Receives Honorable Mention from the MLA
"The Modern Language Association of America announced the winner of its sixty-second annual William Riley Parker Prize for an outstanding article published in PMLA, the association’s journal of literary scholarship. The selection committee also chose an honorable mention. The author of this year’s winning essay is Jonathan Davis-Secord, associate professor of medieval studies at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. His article, “Trans Saints in Old English,” appeared in the March 2025 issue of PMLA. Samuel Diener, stipendiary lecturer in English at the University of Oxford, Exeter College, has received an honorable mention for his article “Narration in the Key of We: The Voyage and the Grammar of Identity,” which appeared in the January 2025 issue of PMLA."
