Garth Greenwell Featured in The New York Times
Former English PhD student Garth Greenwell's new novel, Small Rain, was included on The New York Times' list of 24 Works of Fiction and Poetry to Read This Fall, which includes Sally Rooney's Intermezzo, Rachel Kushner's Creation Lake, and Haruki Murakami's The City and Its Uncertain Walls. A short description of Greenwell's novel is included below:
"A writer discovers that he has a rare disease and lands in the I.C.U. Confined to bed and forced to confront his mortality, the narrator contemplates love, art, beauty, family — everything that makes up the complicated terrain of life."
