Advising

The English Department is committed to providing high quality advising to undergraduate concentrators, prospective concentrators, and any Harvard student interested in the study of English literature. The Undergraduate Program Office assigns each sophomore, junior, and senior concentrator to a faculty adviser. All concentrators are encouraged to visit other members of the English faculty during scheduled office hours. The staff of the Undergraduate Program is always available during open office hours to discuss specific questions regarding the program.

Student Advisory Committee

Our concentrators who serve on the Student Advisory Committee are an integral part of the Undergraduate English Program. They act as representatives of the department and are the house liaisons, there to assist students considering the English concentration with practical information and advice. Interested students are encouraged to seek out friendly faces of their house SAC representative.
