SUMMARY:LitLab: The Art of the Podcast
DESCRIPTION:
Many of us have fallen in love with podcasts as a new form of storytelling. What makes story-telling in podcasts different from other kinds of story-telling? What is the relationship between podcasts and previous forms of oral narrative (radio drama, reading aloud, poetry recitation)? What makes a great podcast story, whether fictional or non-fictional? Is listening to podcasts always a solitary activity? Can podcasts do the work of literary criticism? This week we’ll read about how podcasts are reshaping the story-telling landscape and sample a few favorite examples.

	Open to the Harvard community.
