#  Maria Dahvana Headley Visits the English Department

[Maria Dahvana Headley](https://www.mariadahvanaheadley.com/), translator of *Beowulf* and author of *The Mere Wife*, visited the department on March 7th to speak with undergraduates enrolled in the Common Courses about *Beowulf*, translation, and who a story belongs to. It was a lively event, full of students asking good questions. A big thank you to English 20 and 97 instructors Sarah Dimick, Deidre Lynch, and especially Daniel Donoghue for making this possible.
