Comics are one of the greatest publishing success stories of the digital age. Comics are also the source material for some of the most dominant pop cultural productions of the past two decades (Marvel Studios, Batman, History of Violence, Kill Bill, Ghost World, American Splendor, etc.). In this session, we'll look at a few examples of contemporary graphic novelists and consider how the rising prestige of the genre influences our understanding of the literary.
