Senior Champagne Reception - 3. 2. 16

English Department seniors, faculty, graduate students, and staff came together in the Thompson Room to celebrate the Class of 2016. Director of Undergraduate Studies Jim Engell toasted the seniors, and gave advice for all of their future endeavors as readers and writers.

Prior to the celebration, twenty creative thesis writers submitted works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, as well as screenplays and plays. Seventeen seniors submitted critical essays. As seniors parted with their theses, many posed for pictures cradling a year of hard work, tightly bound and ready to turned in.

In May 61 concentrators will graduate from the department, all surely destined for great things!
